When I tried to install Office 2019 Pro Plus on my new laptop it wouldn't activate it with the old key. I didn't have time to worry about that so I bought Office 2021 Pro Plus for my new laptop. It activated fine. I reinstalled Office 2019 Pro Plus on my old laptop. It activated again with the old key. Some online vendors resell volume license keys to Pro Plus. But both cases of using those keys is explicitly contrary to the license terms.. If the company that currently owns the computer did not buy the Pro Plus license keys, install and activate them on that machine, they are out of luck. . Sorry. So I bought it again. Installed and activated with Microsoft websites involved. No 2019 Office license is on my account. One user told me that individuals can't license Pro Plus.
