Any reason why the Noctua wouldn't be a good choice? NH-D15 can cool a 7950 easily, I'm using the NH-D15S currently, with fans going no higher than 900RPM at load. The NH-U12A is just as good as the NH-15 in cooling, if you want a cooler much smaller. Last edited: 7 May 2023. 8 May 2023 at 22:38.
So the D15 will fit in a R5 and not clash with Ripjaws ram. So the r5 supports up to 180mm cpu coolers and the noctua is 165. ram clearance for the noctua is 32mm in dual fan mode and the Ripjaws X is 40mm so if I were to raise the fan above the ram by 8mm so the ram would fit then the height of the noctua would be 165mm+8mm= 173mm and the
Noctua CPU coolers have earned a reputation amongst enthusiasts as being the upper echelon of air coolers, despite the tan and beige colour scheme of years past. The Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black is an all-black version of Noctua’s award-winning flagship model, but is it capable of taming the Ryzen 7 5800X which is notoriously known for running hot.
NH-D15 is good enough for any processor made so far, no matter how hot, so long as you keep it at stock settings. OC is simply forbidden from 12th gen on with an air cooler. But who knows, maybe at the end of this year we'll get a Noctua surprise. 8. Aureste_. I have an i9-11900K with a Noctua NH-D15 and a ASUS ROG Strix Z590-E motherboard. I'm curious what a good temperature range for this setup is both idle and under load. - When idling in Fan Standard mode (1-5%) My Core temps average ~40-42C. - When I turn the fans to Full Speed and run the CPU-Z benchmark, the motherboard throttles down the 4 Noctua NH-D15 + Ryzen 5800x - normal temps, but incredible noise. Okay guys. This will be a bit weird. I've plugged in the LNA (Low-Noise Adaptors) included with the cooler. This, based on the LTT review, limits the fans from 1500 to 1200 RPM. - My temperatures increased by no more than 1.5'C during stress (and about 3-4'C when idle)
